Compassion is a human virtue. Kindness is one of the highest human feelings, and qualities such as compassion, kindness, humanity have always been glorified. The head of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Professor Erkin Nozimovich Bilalov and staff of the department conducted preventive examinations of 150 elderly and disabled people at the “House of Veterans and Disabled Persons” in the Almazor district of Tashkent.

Disabled and elderly veterans underwent a comprehensive ophthalmological examination, 50 of them were recommended for surgical intervention. 20 patients were prescribed conservative treatment measures. Medicines for the treatment of eye diseases were distributed.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 27, 2018 No. PQ-3682, international interactive innovation fairs and international innovation and investment forums are held annually with the active participation of foreign innovation and research centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators. The week of innovative ideas “InnoWeek” was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a number of responsible ministries and departments. Employees of the Department of Ophthalmology actively participated in the exhibition, presenting the results of advanced research and innovative work.
