Teaching assistant: Hodjaeva Umida Zakirovna
Education: Hodjaeva Umida Zakirovna, has graduated from Tashkent Medical Academy in 2010, General medicine faculty, and the same year entered magistracy on Ophthalmology.

She has successfully gained Master’s degree in Ophthalmology in 2013. Dr. Hodjaeva’s scientific work is devoted to vascular pathology of retina in patients with atherosclerosis.
In April-June 2013 Umida Zakirovna after winning a grant of ICO has completed “Web-based Teaching: an online course for medical educators” by International Council of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Hodjaeva has been chosen as a grant owner by KHIDI to pass training on Retinal diseases in Kyung Hee University Hospital (Seoul, South Korea) in May-August 2013.

Dr. Hodjaeva started her work at the department of Ophthalmology of Tashkent Medical Academy as teaching assistant since September, 2013. In 2013-2017 Dr. Hodjaeva was engaged in Erasmus and British Council educational programs and had taken part in several trainings in Gent (Belgium), Porto (Portugal), London (Great Britain), Riga (Latvia).
Dr. Hodjaeva speaks several foreign languages, including fluent Russian, English and French. She also has C1 diploma in DALF.
Dr. Hodjaeva is an active participant of different scientific and educational conferences. She has been participating and organizing scientific conferences for young scientists for several years as well as English club for students of TMA.
Dr. Hodjaeva is the author of more than 50 publications which include local and foreign abstracts, articles and educational and methodological recommendations. Umida Zakirovna was awarded the 2nd place prize as the best teacher in 2016, and also received recognition for her pedagogical practice and was awarded with the certificate of commendation by Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education in 2015.
